A big OSOW event took place in Foligno, Italy, where the "Millepiedi" kiters have organizated the 13°edition, more of two hundred of kiters and a lot of people where present.

.. I have no pictures as I dont have the technology. just to say that the Avon Kite Flyers and others flew kites at Ashton Court in Bristol, UK. I made a winged heart for the day and it was a heartful fly, made especially poingnant knowing that kiteflying is banned in Afghanistan. Hoping for Peace and an end to killing for all the people in the World. Nick James.

The OSOW went well from these parts. The Denver kite fly featured a parade of animals, banners and a bagpipe band. There were homing pigeons let loose, a Balinese Gamalan as well as live orchestra music helping the kites fly. No discernible winds but lots of kid energy to get the kites up. We have more pictures taken by one of Melanie's students but here is one for now. Best Winds! May peace prevail. George and Melanie
